Berwickshire Housing Association

Following a negotiation process, Everwarm successfully secured a contract with Berwickshire Housing Association to install air source heat pump (ASHP) systems to 25 properties to off-gas areas in Eyemouth and Preston.

This renewable heating solution heats the water which flows around the central heating and separately heats the hot water when required in the property’s hot water cylinder.

Daikin’s Altherma small monobloc air-to-water heat pump, a high efficiency system, was installed, along with Horstmann ThermoPlus room thermostats, and all elements required to support the new system:

  • Heating controls
  • Programmers
  • Copper pipework
  • Thermostatic radiator valves
  • Radiators

All properties benefitted from an energy performance increase to at least D, with 60% and 20% of properties recording a C and B rating respectively, following installation works. This marked improvement will save tenants around £450 on their utility bills, while helping the association meet the Energy Efficiency Standards for Social Housing (EESSH).

Berwickshire Housing Association are delighted with the standard of works on the contract and the level and quality of information provided by Everwarm staff at both site and senior management level.
