East Lothian Council

Everwarm worked in partnership with East Lothian Council to install six EVCP units throughout the East Lothian area.

We installed one 7kW fast charging unit, three 22kW quick charging units and two 50kW rapid charging units, all funded by Transport Scotland. The works involved varying types of charge points in a range of areas, including many busy areas like car parks.

The three 22kW units were installed at three separate sites:

  • Bleaching Field Community Centre, Dunbar
  • Gracefield Car park, Musselburgh
  • The Long Stay car park, Haddington

The two 50kW rapid chargers were installed again at two sites:

  • Wallyford Park & Ride, Wallyford
  • Asda Supermarket, Dunbar

Although the Council chose to undertake the civil element of the works internally, we worked proactively with their team to incorporate all civil works within our programme. We also identified a number of issues with the preparatory ground work and worked in partnership with Council representatives to rectify outstanding issues and prepare the site for unit installation.

All installations were completed within budget and schedule, with monthly reports issued to the Council at pre-agreed times and dates. East Lothian were delighted with their new installations and have reported a high level of use from EV drivers to charge their vehicles.
