Inverclyde Council

As part of an open tender process we were successful in our bid to deliver eight EV charge point installations throughout Inverclyde, in a number of locations.

We worked closely with the council to make certain that we met their needs fully throughout the contract.

Although the council had specified the location of each site, we carried out detailed surveys to make certain that the specification provided was the best option for each individual location. Following the survey stage, we installed: two no. 50 kW rapid chargers; three no. 22kW fast chargers; and three no. 7kW fast chargers.

The EV charge points were installed in a wide range of locations, including:

  • A sports centre
  • Car parks
  • A busy supermarket parking bay
  • One of the council’s offices

All charge points were post-mounted, due to the nature of the sites. Both stainless steel and reinforced glass fibre posts were installed.

Each of the locations listed above had specific health and safety risks to consider. Regardless of location, we erected clear, readable safety signage to make sure that all those who could be affected were fully aware of the works.

On completion, we provided the council with all necessary completion certificates and paperwork in a timely manner. Inverclyde Council were highly satisfied with the works – all completed to the council’s deadlines and within their budget.
