Since May 2015, Everwarm has been working in partnership with Link Group to deliver gas heating improvements to one-five bedroom properties across Scotland.

Some of the locations that have benefitted from works to date include: Falkirk; Possil; Prestwick; Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Phases one to three of the Association’s gas infill and heating upgrade programme replaced existing electric storage heating with high efficiency gas central heating and hot water and upgraded existing boilers in the Association’s stock across central Scotland. After successfully completing the first gas infill project in 2015, Everwarm was re-appointed to deliver the next two phases.

These three programmes have provided new gas infrastructure, meters and heating systems for over 400 tenants. Those included in the scheme are now benefitting from a more efficient heating and hot water system, with savings on their energy bills of around £400 per year.

SGN initially carried out the installation of the gas pipelines in the various locations. Everwarm then arranged with the chosen utility to install the new gas meters to each property before the installation of the heating systems. All three programmes have included the installation of A+ rated Worchester Bosch Greenstar 30i systems as well as all works to accommodate the installation:

• heating controls
• pipework and pipe boxing
• radiators
• thermostatic radiator valves
• lifting and relaying flooring for pipework
• system cleanser and corrosion proofing treatments to new system

In addition, we also manage heating replacements in void properties on a reactive, one-off basis as they become available.
