North West Leicestershire District Council

Following a negotiated process on the London Housing Consortium (LHC) energy efficiency framework (N7 WS2), we were awarded a contract with North West Leicestershire District Council to install 410 air source heat pumps (ASHPs).

Works are being carried out to solid fuel and electrically-heated properties across the local authority area.

Daikin units are being installed – both 5 and 7kW systems. Homes selected for inclusion in the scheme are those in off-gas areas. Both cavity wall and loft insulation measures are being installed as appropriate to maximise utility bill and thermal savings for residents. A bespoke approach is taken in each property to make certain the right measures and system locations are being selected.

The project was launched with a ‘ShowHome Event’, designed to engage with tenants and enable them to see the renewable technology in operation. This event was well attended by over 100 tenants as well as local councillors.

Using our considerable expertise, we’re helping the client access the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme. Accessing this source of funding is helping the council’s money go further, ensuring the number of properties benefitting from new heating is maximised.

Through our post-completion customer satisfaction forms, 97% of customers have indicated that they are either satisfied or very satisfied with the works carried out by Everwarm – testament to the success of our approach in North West Leicestershire.
