Everwarm welcome the increased support from the Scottish Government to the apprenticeship initiative.

Being long term supporters of that initiative, with an inhouse programme that’s grown year on year across our energy services divisions, we’ve seen how it provides lasting career opportunities that for many candidates wouldn’t be viable otherwise.

There can be no doubt these unprecedented times have had a negative impact within the employment market and that’s why this increase in spend is particularly welcome at this time. Now more than ever we need to focus on growing our economy and recovering from this crisis, and a clear path forward lies in building strong opportunities that provide lasting careers for our youth.

This year we are growing the apprenticeship places we have available, thanks in large to the increasing need for renewable solutions and the available funding. This marketplace has seen an upsurge in opportunities for existing engineers. We’re now carrying that forward to the next generation, providing long term job security for young people across our Scottish communities and helping Scotland lead by example by driving down carbon emissions and providing a safe and clean environment for generations to come.
