Everwarm has successfully delivered numerous hard-to-treat cavity wall insulation projects in partnership with Berwickshire Housing Association.

Over 600 homes have been upgraded to date, benefitting from improved thermal efficiency and importantly, utility bill reductions for residents.

Most of the properties had existing UF foam within the cavities which had degraded, leading to slumping and cold spots within the insulation layer. Our first step was to extract the damaged material, using our extraction-specialist operatives. A BBA-approved system was then installed – covered by a 25-year, insurance-backed guarantee for each property.

In each project, Everwarm took the lead role in signing up private properties to the scheme. In flatted properties where even one resident in opposition can prevent works proceeding, this can pose a particular challenge. We maximised sign-up to the scheme by using our established customer communications processes, ensuring all residents were fully informed of the benefits of having the works carried out.
